Hospital Night

Thursday night was hospital night-the night I had my appointment at Methodist hospital for an MRI. My "cancer specialist" wants to make that with this alternate treament that the cancer is only moving forward and not backward into my body. I have to say that the MRI nurses(?) were awesome and very nice to me.
They explained everything to me throughly, had me dress in "hospital clothes" and wait for about 20 mins. After 20 mins I was taken into a small room and hooked up to an IV with saline in it. They allowed me to listen to my own Fleetwood Mac CD with headphones once inside. I was belted in, had the metal plate attached to me, then a blanket. They rolled me into the tube and told me that if I felt scared or uncomfortable to squeeze the little air bulb they attached to the inside of the tube. It was pretty wierd to have the top of the tube touch my forhead a bit. I was praying that I wouldn't have an itch to scratch while inside because there literally wasn't any room for me to lift anything to scratch it! It occurred to me that this was what it would be like to lay in a coffin and I was ok with that-strange. I lay in the MRI tube listening to Fleetwood Mac for 40 mins without moving a muscle then I was allowed to change and go home.
By the time I got home it was about 9pm and again I was tired. They put a dye in the IV during my x-ray and later on when I went to the bathroom I peed purple and it actually glowed! Toxic pee-lovely!
